School Show: From the Page to the Stage
Studio Company dancers perform excerpts from ballets based on Shakespeare and the Classics. The stories and how they were translated into dance, as well as pointe shoes, males roles in dance, etc. are addressed. $250 ($400 two shows).
Creative Movement
Pre-K, Early Elementary
Students develop listening and kinesthetic skills through fun movement
activities. $100. Costume trunk available upon request (add $50).
Balance and Motion
Early Elementary
Flexible residency developing students' balance and motor skills through fun
movement activities. $50/class ($80/class for two teachers).
Poetry in Motion
Elementary, Middle
Arts-integrated workshop creating a dance piece based on poetry, assisted by
Studio Company dancers and CB staff. $150.
Degas & the Dance
Middle
Art-integrated workshop on the life and work of Edgar Degas. A Studio Company
dancers will pose for quick life sketches. $150.
Dancing World
Middle
Flexible residency focusing on the history and technique of a variety of dance
styles. Classes may include ballet, jazz, tap, African, Flamenco, and modern
dance. $50/class ($80/class for two teachers).
Make a Dance
Middle
Flexible residency focusing on the elements of dance and choreography,
incorporating contemporary dance styles and culminating in a dance piece to
perform. $50/class ($80/class for two teachers).
