Executive Director
The Colorado Ballet (CB) is seeking an Executive Director. Colorado Ballet is a nationally recognized dance company that was conceived as a ballet school, and founded in 1950. Reporting to the Board Chairperson, the Executive Director is responsible for leading and directing all aspects of CB’s financial results and administration, including fundraising.
Highly qualified candidates must have demonstrated ability to execute plans to achieve quantified outcomes. This person must possess outstanding communication skills and demonstrated success in cultivating relationships with diverse constituents, including: individuals, corporations, foundations, other nonprofit organizations and government agencies. A proven track record in raising private contributions for operating and capital is highly desirable, as is experience in the Denver market.
This individual will have at least five (5) years of executive leadership in a multi-million dollar organization in the not-for-profit, for-profit or government sectors. A bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university is required, a graduate degree is preferred. Prior experience in the performing arts is not a requirement for this position.
